PRO Designer

The PRO Designer is the essential tool for professional developers. As a facelift version of the classic Designer, it integrates a range of modern, web-based features designed to enhance productivity and streamline the development experience:

• Inscription View: The enhanced web-based Inscription Editor replaces the previous SWT-based version. It provides a more efficient, user-friendly approach to editing inscriptions, including a streamlined UI and improved navigation, making it easier to manage complex configurations.
• Form Editor: The new Form Editor supports the design of HTML Dialogs with a more versatile and future-proof approach. Form definitions are stored in a technology-independent format for long-term compatibility. Currently, JSF-based UIs are automatically generated from these definitions, ensuring consistency across projects.
• Data Class Editor: The new Data Class Editor now allows switching between regular data classes, business data classes, and persistence entity data classes. It also supports adding custom annotations to any data class or field, offering greater flexibility and control over data structures.
• Variable Editor: Instead of navigating through large YAML files, the enhanced Variable Editor provides a user-friendly interface for managing variables more efficiently, reducing complexity and improving clarity during variable configuration.
• Eclipse 2024/09: Use the greatest and latest features of the new Eclipse Platform 2024/09.

PRO Designer offers an updated environment aimed at simplifying tasks and providing flexibility for professional developers.

Core

The Axon Ivy Core also has some great new features:

• Notification: Task and business notifications can now be delivered through multiple channels, including the Portal, email, or Microsoft Teams. A new API has been introduced for sending custom business notifications, and users can configure which notifications they want to receive and through which channels.
• CRON: Periodic jobs, start, and intermediate events can now be scheduled using CRON expressions. This allows for flexible configurations, ranging from once a minute to daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly schedules, providing more control over automated tasks.
• Developer Workflow UI: Improved developer workflow UI with new features like task and case notes, simple statistics, notifications, and enhanced task, case, and process start lists to make the developer experience more efficient.
• S3 Document Storage: Workflow documents can now be stored in S3-compatible storage systems, offering many advantages over traditional local storage.
• Keycloak Identity Provider: Users and roles can now be managed in Keycloak, a popular open-source identity and access management system. With Keycloak you can integrate the security features of your choice like multi-factor authentication.
• Java 21: Use the latest Java 21 language features in your projects and take advantage of all the new Java 21 performance optimizations when running your engine.

Engine Cockpit

The engine cockpit has been updated with new features designed to simplify operations.

• Migration Wizard: The migration wizard has been redesigned to assist with migrating an Engine between versions, including upgrades from one LTS (Long-Term Support) version to the next or between update releases.
• Health Check: The new health check service performs various checks to analyze the Engine's health, providing warnings if potential issues are detected.
• SSL / TLS Tester: Keys and certificates can now be managed through the SSL view. The TLS tester helps verify connections to databases, REST, and SOAP services, with the option to import missing certificates.
• Monitoring: The monitoring capabilities now include eleven new views, such as System Database Info, Class Histogram, Threads, Flight Recorder, Notifications, Session, Jobs, Health, Documents, Start Events, and Intermediate Events, for better operational insights.
• Security Export: Users, roles, user-role assignments, and permissions can now be exported to Excel files to facilitate audits or documentation.
• Properties and Features: The properties and features of REST clients or SOAP web services can be edited directly from the cockpit.
• More Improvements: Enhanced Active Directory and Entra ID browsers, improved configuration file editor, updated search engine view, user substitute and absence management, and options for merging and changing the security system of an application.
